For careers in agribusiness we strongly recommend that practical experience is obtained on a farm for at least one year prior to, during or post graduation.Your career will plough ahead after this! The practical aspects of farming have to be understood in order to apply college course theory. For example if you want a career with crops work on an arable farm - if you want a career with livestock work on a livestock farm. If you are not sure of the specific direction many UK farms are mixed livestock and arable. Colleges can usually help you find farmers who will employ students.
